2008 - An "historic" year...but why?
What a year! Bear Stearns and Northern Rock collapsed and Lloyds TSB stepped in to take over a faltering HBOS. One minute Lehman Brothers was the golden boy on the block, the next it was gone, replaced with the bright blue logo of Barclays…2008 was of course also witness to the most expensive Olympics ever and the election of Barack Obama as the 44th US President
